This week, we’re going to take a look at other great female poker celebrities. Arguably, Jan Fisher’s poker career started as a kid in Seattle when a family friend introduced him to the game. Several years later, when he was a teenager, his mother took him to visit Las Vegas.
During his stay, he walked into the poker room. Today’s game is a seven-card stud. Hold’em is only just getting popular in casinos. With all that experience, this bright young woman became very good at the game and turned into a semi-professional player and then into poker management. An important event in his developing poker career was when he met Linda Johnson. Shortly afterward, Linda became the publisher of Card Player magazine and owner of the Card Player Cruises business in 1992. Jan called her office to ask if she could work for the cruise ship business.
